Overview

Clopay VertiStack® Avante® is the aluminum-and-glass door that stacks sections vertically on the wall above the opening. There are no exposed hinges, cables, or overhead tracks, so the ceiling stays clear for lights, storage, or tall vehicles. The frame is 2-5/8" commercial-grade aluminum with Intellicore® in the stiles and rails (official R-value 3.8). Panels can be tempered glass, acrylic, Polygal™, or solid aluminum. VertiStack won Best of IBS Best in Show at the 2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show.

Use VertiStack when you want a full-view door and cannot — or do not want to — run overhead track. It is the right conversation for pool houses, patio openings, tight headroom, and contemporary homes that should look clean inside and out.

Questions we hear

How is this different from a regular Avante?

A regular Avante rolls overhead on tracks like a typical garage door. VertiStack stacks the sections on the wall above the opening. You get the glass look without tracks, hinges, or cables in the ceiling.

Do I have enough room above the opening?

You need wall space above the opening for the stacked sections — not ceiling track. We measure that on the estimate visit and will tell you if a standard Avante or Sleek is the better fit.

Can Overhead Door of America install a VertiStack Avante on my home?

Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.

Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?

Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
