Every Reserve® Wood Modern garage door is engineered for durability and style. At its core, you’ll find a solid Hemlock wood frame packed with polystyrene insulation to boost energy efficiency and block out the elements. On the outside, beautiful wood cladding gives each door its unique character, while a Luan wood backer adds an extra layer of strength and a clean interior finish.
Durable hardware, including heavy-duty hinges, rollers, and track, keeps your door running smoothly and quietly. For added protection, an optional vinyl weather seal (in a rust-resistant aluminum retainer) helps keep out drafts and moisture, guarding your garage from the elements. Each door also features Clopay’s patented Safe-T-Bracket®, designed to prevent injuries when the door is under tension.

With the Reserve® Wood Modern garage door, you can choose from striking offset window patterns, where a mix of short and long glass panels brings in natural light with a contemporary edge. If you love contrast, accent strip designs feature sleek aluminum flush strips set between wood planks, creating eye-catching lines and a hint of flair.
If you prefer something a bit more streamlined, go for the horizontal cladding design. You’ll get classic wood planks arranged in full or alternating lengths for a clean, minimalist look. Many designs are available in both right-hand and left-hand configurations, so you can tailor the look to your home’s architecture. For doors up to 10 feet wide, ask about seamless “no splice” options for an uninterrupted appearance.

Personalize your Reserve® Wood Modern garage door with a selection of specialty glass Let in maximum light with classic clear tempered glass, which is perfect for a bright, open feel. For extra privacy without sacrificing daylight, choose frosted glass, which softens incoming light and conceals the view into your garage. Obscure glass takes privacy a step further with a textured finish that offers both security and a unique visual effect.
All glass options are tempered for safety and durability, making them as practical as they are attractive. Please note that some specialty glass types may be limited to certain window designs or configurations. Whether you want to showcase your space or keep things private, you’ll find the right glass for your door.
With Reserve® Wood Modern, you can choose from a curated selection of real wood species and accent materials. From the warmth of light or dark Cedar, the fine grain of Fir, the rich, deep tones of Meranti, or the bold character of Redwood, each option has its own unique texture. For a distinctive, contemporary vibe, select mixed Cedar for a blend of hues and grains that adds visual interest. And to give your door even more of a modern edge, consider adding metal inlays or accent strips.
Your Reserve® Wood Modern garage door is available in a beautiful range of stain colors designed to bring out the natural character of the wood. Choose from classics like Natural, Natural Oak, Cedar, Teak, Butternut, Mahogany, and Dark Oak for rich, authentic tones that highlight the wood’s unique grain.
For a more dramatic, modern look, select Dark Oak Ebony Wash or Ebony Wash — two deep, bold finishes that make a statement. All stain colors are carefully formulated to complement the door’s real wood construction, enhancing texture and depth for stunning curb appeal.

Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.
Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
Garage doors vary in thickness based on the construction, insulation type, and material. Clopay offers polystyrene insulated wood doors with a 6.5 R-value. Keep in mind, wood is a natural insulator. We also have steel doors insulated with polyurethane foam or polystyrene. The R-values range from 6.5 to 20.4, depending on the model. A higher R-value means the door is more energy efficient.
